Cargo Community Network

On 7 April 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting an industry event together with Visa, bringing together partners, customers, and friends from across the logistics ecosystem.

It was a really good mix of conversations involving some big-picture trends, some practical use cases, and plenty of honest discussion about the challenges we all face when it comes to B2B payments in logistics.

Payments are becoming a key focus in logistics?

As operations become more digital and interconnected, there’s a growing opportunity to make payments work better for everyone involved.

Across the industry, we’re seeing teams look for ways to:

  • Gain better visibility over cash flow
  • Simplify and streamline day-to-day processes
  • Reduce manual effort through automation
  • Create smoother, more connected end-to-end workflows

It’s less about fixing problems—and more about unlocking a more efficient, transparent way of working.

The First Use Case: Import Charges Alongside TDSB

We also shared our first use case for payment of import charges with Pay@CUBEforall, which is also integrated with Truck Dock Slot Booking (TDSB).

Before the introduction of Pay@CUBEforall:

  • Manual checks
  • Payment verification delays
  • Slower cargo collection

With Pay@CUBEforall:

  • Payments are verified upfront
  • Less waiting at the point of collection
  • Faster and smoother operations overall

It’s a small change in process, but it makes a big difference on the ground.

    Panel Discussion

One of the highlights was definitely the panel discussion, with perspectives from across Visa, CCN, SATS, and one of the industry leader, Sky Leader.

Some of the more relatable takeaways:

    • Payment delays can directly impact cargo release and turnaround time
    • Digital payments enable real-time, shipment-level tracking
    • Corporate cards improve visibility, control, and audit readiness
    • Instant payments reduce bottlenecks and enhance operational planning
    • Greater transparency strengthens collaboration across stakeholders

    Where things are heading

Looking ahead, the direction is pretty clear:

    • More connected systems
    • More automated payment flows
    • Better visibility across the entire chain

For us, that means continuing to expand what Pay@CUBEforall can support across freight forwarders, shippers, airlines, and vendors.

Thanks again to everyone who joined us, we really appreciated the conversations (and the networking lunch).
